Recently a client shared with me a powerful story.
She described how she felt that she’d been walking deep in the woods, and the trees were really tall, but the sun was piercing through providing a dappled light. She came across a DOOR, blocking her way. She turned the handle, but it didn’t open. She hunted for keys, but none of them fitted. She banged on that door. She found an axe and started trying to chop through the door. And then she lit a fire under it. But still the door stood there. Not opening. Not letting her pass. By this point she was done so she lay down. And noticed that the door was just a door. In the woods. There were no walls, so it wasn’t attached to anything. And she could just walk around it.

Is there something blocking you making progress? I’m wondering what you might find behind that metaphorical door? What experience can you draw on, to help you find a way through it? What are you going to do once you’ve got to the other side?
Lots of us come across obstacles blocking our way, some are easier to get through than others. It can help if there’s someone else there, helping you to notice things and to find a way to reach your goal. As your coach, I can help you find the door, and then find a way past it to whatever it is you are seeking on the other side.
I work with peri and menopausal women who are thinking about ‘what next’. If this sounds like you book a call with me to talk about how we could work together.
